Taylor Pendrith shot 10 under par in the second round at the PGA Tour's Bermuda Championship to take a one-stroke lead in the tournament heading into Saturday.

Patrick Rodgers shot seven under par Friday and sits in second place at 10 under par overall heading into the weekend.

Pendrith shot a modest one under par Thursday, with two birdies and a bogey on the front nine and then a birdie and an eagle but three bogeys on the back nine. On Friday, he finished with nine birdies, an eagle and just one bogey on the 13th.

His driving distance increased Friday (plus-38.5 yards) and he hit the green on 16 of 18 holes, six better than Thursday.

For Rodgers, it has been a steady two rounds. He finished with six birdies, one bogey and one eagle Friday, after hitting four birdies and one bogey Thursday.

Rodgers is hitting greens better than anyone in Bermuda (83.3%) and improved his driving distance (plus-15 yards) and putts per green (minus-0.181) from the first to the second round.

The rest of the field is tight. Vincent Whaley (-9), Danny Lee (-8) and David Skinns (-8) are in the next group behind the leaders, with all three playing steady golf.
